President - Jeffrey Allan Johnson
Jeffrey Johnson is the president and chief executive officer of Commander Instruments and Avionics, Inc. Johnson's leadership, industry insight, attention to detail and operational expertise has formed the foundation of Commander Instruments and Avionics' commitment to providing superior avionics and instrument component services. Mr. Johnson has been working to promote the company's expansion into new markets within the aviation community and extend its recognition and international reach.
Jeffrey Johnson has served as the president of Commander Instruments and Avionics, Inc. since 1986. Prior to his position with Commander Instruments and Avionics, Mr. Johnson spent 3 years a Bowman-Gray School of Medicine in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology where he was pursuing a career in medicine. Mr. Johnson left his medical orientation and assumed the position of president of Commander on June 4, 1986 along with his brother Eric to follow his entrepreneurial aspirations in the aviation industry after the death of company founder Myles G. Johnson.
Jeffrey Johnson was elected as President of the Aviation Instrument Association (AIA) on February 11, 2009. The AIA is an international professional organization serving FAA and JAA Certificated Repair Stations. Johnson served as the orgnaization's Vice-President for 2 years and its Secretary-Treasurer for 7 years. He is a frequent speaker at industry and professional association events and handles both company and association website design and management. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of The College of Charleston located in Charleston, South Carolina with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Johnson is also a licensed multi-engine pilot.
Vice-President - Eric Warner Johnson
Eric Johnson is the primary technical contact for the daily operations, mobile services scheduling, installation inspection, troubleshooting, technical support and component services of Commander Instruments and Avionics. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of The College of Charleston located in Charleston, South Carolina with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Johnson is also a licensed multi-engine pilot.
